Moan and Low

slice dull low sky
gather at someone’s fence
winter pansies
lean in to listen
cement steps
catch my knees
Ann’s arm
“I’ve never seen you like this”
I bet
you’ll never catch me crying
what have I gone and done
Jax blows
a kiss from a truck window
catches me crying
what have I gone and done
